HuskyBIM for Dynamo

Claude builds and runs Dynamo graphs in the Dynamo window you already have open in Revit. You see every node appear, get wired and run — and Ctrl+Z works like always.

• Works with: Revit 2024, 2025, 2026 and 2027 (Dynamo 2.19, 3.0, 3.6 and 4.0) and Dynamo Sandbox on Windows.
• AI apps: Claude Desktop, VS Code, Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Code and Codex.
• Price: free with a HuskyBIM account.

What it can do

• Build graphs live — places nodes found with Dynamo's own search, wires them, sets values (dropdowns by name, sliders, code blocks), runs the graph and reads every node's result.
• Revit elements both ways — element ids from a graph go straight to HuskyBIM for Revit, elements you select in Revit go into the graph, and Claude can see which Revit elements a graph owns, so they are not changed behind Dynamo's back. It also knows which Dynamo belongs to which Revit window.
• Run saved graphs like Dynamo Player — set the inputs, run, get the results; save and apply presets.
• Graph review — missing nodes and packages, errors, unwired inputs, Python engines that are not installed, risky run modes — on the open graph or on a .dyn file without Dynamo.
• Python your way — Python nodes run in the engine you choose (CPython3, PythonNet3, IronPython when installed).
• Your own nodes in C# — Claude writes the code, a bundled compiler builds it, and the nodes appear in Dynamo.
• Custom nodes — turn a part of the graph into a custom node, open it, edit it.
• Packages — searches the Dynamo Package Manager and checks if a package fits your Dynamo; installs one only when you say yes.
• Tidy graphs — groups with colours and Dynamo's group styles, notes, alignment, auto layout, wire style, your logo on the canvas, and a screenshot of what you see.
• .dyn files without Dynamo — read, edit and create graph files with Dynamo and Revit closed.
• Generative Design — optimize, randomize or cross product studies of the open graph with Autodesk's own Generative Design engine; put the best design back into the graph.
• Explore and explain — run a graph over many input values and compare the results, profile slow nodes, trace values through the graph, export results to CSV or Excel, and write documentation for a graph.
• Ready-made graphs — proven recipes (count by category, parameter tables, find and set parameters, room areas and more) built in one step.

Install

Download the Windows installer from your account page and run it. It sets up your AI apps and adds the HuskyBIM extension to Dynamo in every Revit 2024–2027 it finds. Then open Dynamo in Revit (Manage > Dynamo). A Revit that was already open needs one restart.

Windows shows a warning the first time you run the installer

HuskyBIM is signed by HuskyBIM itself, not by a certificate authority, so Windows does not know the publisher yet.

In Edge or Chrome: if the download bar says the file "isn't commonly downloaded", choose Keep.

When you run the installer, Windows may show "Windows protected your PC". Click More info, then Run anyway. The installer is the file you just downloaded from huskybim.com, and nothing else runs.
