Extension token
Your extension token authenticates HuskyBIM with your account. It is required to connect Claude Desktop to your AEC software. Tokens are tied to your subscription and can be regenerated at any time.
What is the extension token?
The extension token is a unique credential that identifies your HuskyBIM subscription when Claude Desktop connects to your local software. It is not a password — it authorises the extension, not your account login.
The token is used once during setup. After that, it is stored locally in your Claude Desktop configuration and renewed automatically as long as your subscription is active.
How to generate a token
Sign in to your account
Go to /account. Enter your email and the one-time code that is sent to you. No password required.
Find the Extension Token section
Scroll to the Extension Token section on your account dashboard.
Generate and copy the token
Click Generate token. The token appears once — copy it to your clipboard immediately. If you navigate away without copying it, you can generate a new one.
Paste the token during connector setup
You will be prompted for the token when setting up a HuskyBIM connector in Claude Desktop. Paste the token when asked. See the product-specific guide for where exactly the token goes.
Regenerating a token
You can generate a new token at any time from your account page. When you regenerate:
• The previous token is immediately invalidated
• All active Claude Desktop instances using the old token will lose access until reconfigured
• You must update the token in your Claude Desktop configuration
Troubleshooting
Ensure you copied the token without any leading or trailing spaces. Tokens are case-sensitive. If in doubt, regenerate a new token.
Your HuskyBIM subscription allows activation on up to 2 machines. If both slots are in use, release a machine from your account page before activating on a new one.
Tokens are shown only once after generation. If you did not copy it, generate a new one — the old one is still valid until you regenerate.
