HuskyBIM for Tekla Structures

HuskyBIM for Tekla Structures connects Claude Desktop to Tekla Structures through the Tekla Open API. With 197 tools covering modelling, deep geometry, reinforcement, drawings, 4D scheduling, loads and analysis, quantity take-off, clash and IFC/NC export — all in plain language, without manual clicking.

Delivered as a Claude Desktop extension (.mcpb). No installer needed — a thin companion resolves the Tekla API from your installation at runtime. Download the extension from your account page, open it in Claude Desktop, and enter your token. Tekla Structures must be running with a model open.

Installation

Download the extension

Sign in to your account page and download HuskyBIM_for_Tekla_v1.0.2.mcpb from the Downloads section.

Install in Claude Desktop

Open Claude Desktop. Go to Settings → Extensions and click Install extension. Select the downloaded .mcpb file, or drag and drop it onto the Extensions panel.

Enter your extension token

In the HuskyBIM for Tekla Structures extension settings, enter your extension token. Find your token at huskybim.com/account under Extension Token.

Open Tekla Structures and start

Open Tekla Structures with a model loaded. Return to Claude Desktop — the 197 HuskyBIM for Tekla Structures tools will be active and ready.

Troubleshooting

Tools report "no connection to Tekla"

Tekla Structures must be running with a model open. The Open API only connects to an open model.

License error on first call

Check that your token is entered correctly in the extension settings. Get it free at huskybim.com/account.

Extension not visible in Claude Desktop

Ensure the .mcpb installed under Settings → Extensions, and restart Claude Desktop.
