HuskyBIM for Archicad

HuskyBIM for Archicad connects Claude Desktop to Graphisoft Archicad 29 through a native Add-on. With 217 tools covering elements, attributes, classifications, layouts, issues and more, you can automate your Archicad workflow through plain language.

Preview release. HuskyBIM for Archicad is currently in preview. All 217 tools are functional and tested against Archicad 29. Full release is planned for later in 2026.

Installation

Download the installer

Sign in to your account page and download HuskyBIM_for_ArchiCAD_29_v1.0.2.exe from the Downloads section.

Run the installer

Run HuskyBIM_for_ArchiCAD_29_v1.0.2.exe as Administrator. The installer copies the Add-on to Archicad's Add-Ons folder and installs Node.js if needed.

Enter your subscription email

When prompted, enter the email address you used to subscribe. The installer validates your subscription and registers the Claude Desktop extension automatically.

Restart Archicad and Claude Desktop

Start Archicad with a project file open, then restart Claude Desktop. The HuskyBIM for Archicad extension will appear automatically with all 217 tools ready.

HuskyBIM for Archicad covers 217 tools across all major domains:

Elements — read, create, modify and delete building elements
Attributes — manage layers, materials, surfaces, composites, profiles
Classifications — create and manage classification systems and items
Layouts and drawings — create layout books, place drawings, manage sheets
Issues (BCF) — create, update, comment on and resolve issues
Stories — read and manage project stories/levels
Properties — read and write element properties and parameters

Example workflows

Layer audit
List all layers in the project and show how many elements are on each layer.
Issue management
Show all open BCF issues and group them by author.
Documentation
Create a new layout named "A-101 Ground Floor Plan" in the Architectural layout book.

Troubleshooting

Add-on not loading

Ensure Archicad was fully restarted after installation. Open Options → Add-on Manager to confirm HuskyBIM is listed and enabled. If the Add-on does not appear, re-run the installer as Administrator.

Tools not visible in Claude Desktop

Make sure Archicad is running with a project open and Claude Desktop has been restarted after installation. If the extension is missing, re-run the installer.
